Annual Pow Wow

The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation hosts a traditional Pow Wow the 3rd weekend in July annually. It is a 2 day event held behind the Administration building at 22521 Island Rd, Port Perry, approximately one mile north of Great Blue Heron Charity Casino.

National Aboriginal Day (June 21) 


The First Nation celebrates National Aboriginal Day as a family and community celebration. Carnival type rides and different events such as face painting and a magic show have been provided for both children and adults in the past. A barbeque dinner is followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
